Works well in soups and stews. It's not super salty so don't be afraid to use it liberally. I would not use it in a white sauce or soup because of it's dark color. Other than that, green salt is great.
I put it in my salt shaker (with a few grains of rice) as you suggested, and I sprinkle it on top of whatever I am eating that I feel needs salt. I am on a very low sodium diet but I feel that a shake or two will not make me go over my salt intake for the day. I'm really enjoying using it.
Bought some for me, liked it so much bought a bag for my niece and nephew in law, and another bag for my other niece and her husband.
I am so happy with my choice to buy Green Salt. Not only is it healthy, but it’s delicious. It adds an extra flavor that regular salt doesn’t have. I recommend it on fresh sliced tomatoes, French fries (air fried of course). It’s the perfect product to use to give your dish an extra zing.
It would be nice if it had its own custom shaker!

I really like the product. It gives food the flavor you want without all the sodium. Since switching to a plant based food diet it gives the salt seasoning that has been missing in my recipes.
We have really enjoyed experimenting with our green salt. We have it in a kitchen shaker and find that we choose to use it over Himalayan salt 75%of the time. I used the green salt on homemade garlic bread and w/herbs on roasted veggies and turkey sausage. It was delicious. Also been using it on my omelets on the weekends. No complaints here!
I really like Green Salt. I use it as a finishing salt just as I would table salt. I've recommended Green Salt to several friends who have also become fans of this product. I'm appreciative of Green Salt's productions and harvesting methods and the extent to which the farm is bringing farmland back into production in Baja. My second order is on its way.

I have high blood pressure AND I love salt! I have been looking for a substitute and haven’t been able to find a suitable one. I think I have finally found it! Really like the salt it brings to foods. I’m working through the mild seaweed taste. I really do like it and keep some on me when I’m out to eat or on the run. Glad I found this product.
Great salty taste, great for seasonings, get that great taste of salt without all the sodium. It does cost more, but is worth it, enjoy the foods that require salt without the side effects of sodium. I will purchase again.

My doctor told me to restrict my salt intake. I tried many salt free seasonings but I was missing the taste of salt. Especially on eggs or potatoes. Then I saw this advertisement for green salt. Half the sodium of table salt. I decided to try it. At first I was taken aback on the smell. It smelled like a vegetable. But after tasting it, it tasted like "salt". Now I put this on everything in place of salt.

I am really enjoying my green salt. My only complaint is the price. I have been using it on almost all my dishes before serving and it is a nice way to add some salt without all the sodium but it does take quite a bit to get the same flavor as regular salt
I love this! It does have a bit of a sea flavor so it's noticeable on some thing like a hard boiled egg but on any other dish, it just tastes like salt. The smallest bag goes along way and I'm really excited to buy more. I recommend trying this out as a less sodium salt alternative.
It tastes like salt with a little seaweed flavor like nori. The seaweed flavor is not overpowering. It takes very little to give a strong salty flavor. I bought the smallest bag to try it and I expect it will go a long way
The flavors, especially the umami character, are wonderful! I like experimenting with different salt, so Green Salt fits right in.
It didn’t have the salty flavor that I had hoped for. In fact, it had a rather unpleasant taste to me. Also, it was so powdery in texture that it puffed up into the air almost like a gas and it clung to the sides of the steel pot when we tried to cook with it. I threw it all away after the first two times of trying to use it.
I have been using this delicious green salt every single day on veggies, eggs, air popped popcorn and more. It’s fantastic and I highly recommend it.
I was looking for something to give my food more flavor as was instructed to cut back on Sodium. My daughter found green salt. I like it a lot. I use the tips that I received and it works exactly as described. It really is delicious, if you add it after the food is cooked and its great on salads. Im still experimenting but Im sure I'll be buying it again.

Love this salt and I have some suggestions to help with new purchasers like me. The salt needs a shaker that is engineered for this product, and make a web page that helps people use your product to replicate popular seasonings like Montreal steak.
While this is a product to use after cooking rather than in your cooking, it does offer the saltiness I have missed on a sodium limited diet. It is a pricey item too but I'm willing to pay because I don't use it much anyway and I expect it to last me a long time. I'm so glad I purchased this and love using it.

Was very surprised how this accented our seafood. I am thoughly impressed with the flavor. Used it on popcorn and loved it. The only thing we need is a powder shaker to put it on food. Any time I can lower my sodium content I am happy. This is awesome!
Green salt is tasty with it's hint of Umami flavor; I use it on everything to keep my sodium intake down, and it is especially good on fish and eggs, as well as quinoa, beans and spinach.

Love using Green Salt! I’ve eaten sea beans fresh, loved the flavor, so tried the salt. No disappointment here! Lovely on fresh veggies, or added to umami-flavored dishes like pad thai, sushi rice and umeboshi, Indian curries, and soup (give it a whirl on tomato soup and grilled cheese!). Enjoyed it with fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato with balsamic. Versatile with a mellow saltiness. If you like a nice flake salt but are open to trying a deeper flavor and texture, you’ll probably enjoy Green Salt. FYI: it’s a powdery texture, so easy to control the salinity you add to a dish.
All in all, Green salt is quite good on some foods, but it is a poor replacement for salt most of the time. It is great on food that is making heavy use of herbal seasonings like basil, oregano, and rosemary. It is terrible on foods with a relatively mild flavor profile like boiled eggs. I intend to experiment with it further to try to find good uses for it. So far it is amazing on pork chops. We intend to try it on stuffed chicken breast soon.
I am absolutely in love with this salt! I am on a very low sodium diet for medical reasons and this product is a game changer! I can now make delicious pickles, breads and add amazing flavor to all my dishes! I forgot what real flavor was like until green salt. Thank you!!

I learned that I have congestive heart failure. So I had to find an alternative to salt. Hence, Green Salt. I like is. It is extremely fine and smells a little like alfalfa. But it has so much less sodium in it. And it doesn't have that nasty aftertaste like you get with other salt substitutes. I have learned that people are only to consume like 1600mg of sodium per day. One teaspoon of salt equals 2300mg of sodium. Kind of hard to stay with the 1600mg when salt is so high. If I were you, I would try green Salt for yourself.
Green Salt helps me to curb my palate from salty junk foods. Green Salt has a great flavor on its own and flavors food so nicely. Because I have high blood pressure, this is a healthy choice for me. thank you
Very good substitute for salt. It adds flavor that I was missing since having to do sodium restriction. It’s very powdery compared to salt but I’ll take it over dash any day! Plus I like that it’s healthier.
I was hesitant but wow! It’s great! Tastes just like salt - no weird flavor like salt substitutes. Just had it on popcorn & I’m not worried about bloating or under eyes bags in the morning.
I am adjusting to how much to use. From sea salt to pink to green each very different I tend to under salt but realize I need bit more green.
I've used Green Salt now for about a month in my cooking. My husband and I are on a low sodium diet and just needed a little taste of salt now and then in some dishes. I am very happy with the taste of Green Salt and now use it in place of salt for those foods that really need a salty kick.
I don’t know why, but I knew I was going to love this! I have a heart condition and am prone to edema, so I was told to relax on the salt. I bought 2 packages and brought one with me when I went to see my daughter and youngest grandbaby … my daughter LOVES it and being a salt hound, she now can sprinkle away without any detrimental effects! We sprinkle it on everything that calls for salt and we put the whole contents of one package in one of her empty nutritional yeast shakers to make it easier to shake out! My swelling has pretty much disappeared! So very happy with my new green salt friend, and so is the rest of the family. You have got customers for life! Thank you!!

I noticed the Unami taste on my finger. But when you add it to food it taste just like regular salt. Glad I bought 2 bags

It was a great way to add flavor to my grilled vegetables. I sprinkled it over before and after. Didn’t need much to give it flavor. Great product.
I had to radically lesson the amount of salt I use in my effort to use diet to combat high blood pressure. But who wants to go without salt? I really like my green salt because it has half the sodium but gives a good flavor.
So far I like it. I have to experiment with the amount needed for my cooking. Definitely worth the money to see if it Is right for you.
I have found so many ways to use Green Salt to not only add the salty taste but it enhances the flavor of many foods. I love just sprinkling a pinch over my chopped salad.

I didn’t review this product sooner because I wanted to use it enough to give honest tried and true feedback. I like it. It’s has a little more robust flavor than regular salt, it’s nuttier more flavorful. For me it adds depth to soups, pasta sauce, omelettes, etc. It’s really good on popcorn. I haven’t tried it in cookies or desserts yet and I’m wondering if it’ll be ok with delicate dishes and sweets. Bottom line, this may be my new salt.
While salt substitutes all have their place I suppose, green salt has the best flavor. I'm loving it!
I really like Green Salt. I've been enjoying it in homemade sandwiches - tuna, egg, chicken and will give it a try in cooking soon. It adds more flavor than other salts.
This stuff is fantastic! I put some in a salt shaker and sprinkle a little on my food and it tastes good again. There's no funny after taste, just the flavor that I love.
The taste is great, not quite salt but good, texture is very powdery so it can be a little tricky to use like salt, will be buying again.
This is difficult to use and measure due to the consistency. It does have a very mild Salty taste but it also has a strong almost fish-like taste and smell. I will continue to try to adapt and use it but think it is doubtful that I will repurchase. Your service was excellent.

A little goes a long way. I have to watch what I put it in. It turned the oatmeal green. It tasted fine but didn't look that great. All in all I'm happy knowing it's a lot more healthy then using the other stuff.

Love my Green Salt so far! Definitely has a unique umami taste. Excellent on eggs and veggies. I've cooked with it and used it as a finishing salt, and so far I'm very pleased. I can't wait to find more ways to use it.
I have not been able to cook with the green salt yet, but I think that I will like it. I don't love the flavor, because there is a hint of "greenness" that is a little distracting, but I am hoping that I will grow accustomed to it. It certainly does taste better that the other salt substitutes that I have tried.

Good salt substitute, I've started adding it in to my regular seasoning. Works better if you don't use it to cook with; instead, add it post cooking for final seasoning.

I worry about my heart, so using Green Salt puts my stress level at ease. Taste the same as salt without the worries. Just wished it was cheaper.
It is salty but not metallically salty- has a warm subtle flavor. And I like that it's plant based. Plus it's green so makes my rice and my scrambled eggs look way more interesting :)
At first I was afraid it was going to have a fishy taste because of its smell, but once on or in the food it doesn’t. I love the fact that it gives the food a salty flavor by using just a pinch and like the taste on veggies.
I having been using Green Salt nonstop since receiving my first bag. I've first tried it on slow cooked short ribs - amazing! I liked it so much I even brought some over to my mom to try. It had been a great addition as a salty, earthy flavor to my cooking.
Good stuff. I’m on a kidney friendly diet, and have to watch sodium. This green salt allows me to enhance the flavor of lots of foods with less sodium.
Being on a low sodium diet can be quite a challenge. The discovery of green salt is fabulous. It is not a salt substitute because it still contains half the sodium that salt does, but it tastes great and allows you that little extra pinch of "salty" when you really want it.
After accidentally finding the advertisement for Green Salt & reading the heath benefits I had to try it. Upon receiving the order promptly I was most impressed with the favor. What really triggered my attention was it’s capability to help lower blood pressure. I’ve tried many suggestions to lower the BP which mostly recommend giving up salt entirely. Salt is flavorful, without it food is bland. Green Salt enhances the meal with less sodium. I’m giving it a 30 day trial basis with daily records of BP lowering effects. If the readings fall I’m a Green Salter for life, a healthy life.

It does taste salt-ish, and is best used as a table seasoning on warm vegetables. (Not so much popcorn or a baked potato ♀️) Nice addition to my low sodium arsenal.
