I've only received this product a few days ago, but I can say that it is delicious & fresh! I am sold on this product already. It's spinach pappardelle that I made with a little bit of shaved Romano... olive oil and your salt although you can't see it because it's against the green pasta, but I can assure you it was delicious

The “salt” is much finer - and saltier! - than I expected! I mixed it 1/2 and 1/2 with standard table salt, as I wanted to keep it “flowing” (it’s very humid here) and to get used to using it.
Tastes very salty with an earthy goodness. Love that I’m cutting down on my sodium intake. Will continue to use.

I was surprised how good and salt-like this tasted. I’ve not used it extensively but believe it will work well while cooking and after. I wish this could be more granular-like and less powder-like.

I love green salt. I used to use sea salt with truffles, smoked sea salt and other wonderful sea salts. When my doctor told me to go on a BBQ low sodium salt, I thought I would have to settle for the unsatisfying faux salt. When I read in the Times about green salt, I ordered it and have been so delighted that I can have such delicious flavor and still follow doctor’s orders.
I eat very clean and healthy, so this green salt was very exciting to me. I love it!!!!
Love Green Salt! The color is lovely, the added taste beyond pure salt goes well with everything, and it never overpowers a dish. Eggs, pasta, east or west cooking all works well!

I like it that the potassium isn't too high, but the flavor of the green salt does not go well woth some foods because of the strong flavor.
This is a very fine powder. I would appreciate suggestions on application. If I use my fingers to use a pinch, as much sticks to my fingers as is applied to the food - wasteful. If I use a spoon, or something flat, the powder clumps and can't be distributed over the food. Added to liquid ingredients, it clumps. Frustrating. I am trying to find a lidded shaker with tiny holes - lidded so the green salt doesn't absorb moisture. As a food additive, it is okay. It does add some savory flavor (umami? not so sure) to certain foods and just enough saltiness to get away with no salt. In other things, the vegetal flavor does not really blend. I'm happy to have it as an addition to my pantry, and am using it regularly. It would be good on popcorn, I'll bet!
I am just beginning to experiment on foods. Tastes great in veggies & pastas but trying to find uses on meat...results are 50/50. Need more time...switching is a challenge as a salt lover(68 yrs) Do you have recipes? Any suggestions?
Love the flavor of this salt, it has a slight sea weed flavor which I love.. I will differently purchase again.

For some reason I thought it would be granular like sea salt. It’s a powder which I wasn’t sure about at first, but it’s very easy to use either in a salt dish or shaker. Wasn’t sure if the taste would be overwhelming, but it’s very mild. Have used it on beef, chicken, popcorn & delicious on all.
Even my kids (11 and 7) like it! It's a win all around
I love this. It’s the first salt replacement I actually like to use. No aftertaste and it’s salty enough. Need to watch my sodium intake but love salt. This is perfect!

In Hawaii we use the fresh Sea Asparagus in our foods so it was a no brainer. Now I use it whenever I need to salt anything. Best thing ever. I definitely recommend using this instead of regular salt. A very healthy alternative.

I've found that it satisfies my salt craving and is pretty tasty; but I simply haven't had enough time to try it on a lot of things to the point where I know the dosage on different foods. It's very good with low sodium V8.
I am at that age where I need to cut down on my salt intake—bummer! Honestly, it has been hard. I saw an ad for Green Salt and decided to give it a try. I've used it on foods that I would normally use salt on and have been delighted with the results! Green salt has a smooth salt-like taste with an extra added "something." (Is that the umami flavor?) It makes whatever I use it on tastier without the health issues that salt presents—and with only 50% of the sodium of salt, I'm able to enjoy more of my favorite foods with a lot less guilt.

I love the concept! Sadly I could not tolerate the flavor. In all fairness to the product, I don't like sushi or fish. "Umami" flavor is just not for me. Sorry. If it tasted like bacon...then I would be re-ordering for sure. LOL!
So far - 2-weeks - we're liking this product. It's added some needed salinity missing in my current 2000mg per day sodium maximum, along with some bonus umami to our dishes. Definitely a different product than say a Mrs. Dash seasoning, as it does not color the dish with extra pronounced flavors. We've yet to bake with it and look forward to those results. Only criticism would be that it's not easy to sprinkle on a plate like salt would and might benefit from a "shaker" type vessel instead of the bag it comes in. We're going to try an empty spice bottle to solve for this. We've already shared the link to several friends and will purchase again when out!

as a first-time taster, i was so intrigued by the idea of this new-to-me salt. it blew my expectations completely away! delicious, green-tasting, a little bit nutty, unlike anything else i've ever tasted, which is saying something as i approach my 60th birthday. i came for the reduced sodium and the other healthy benefits (11% protein, abundant trace minerals) and i enjoy the flavor. i will be back for more!

I'm shocked by this product! It's truly a game changer for people on a low sodium diet. The taste is great and per teaspoon, only 540mg of sodium! (A teaspoon of regular salt has 2300mg of sodium) I will definitely order more and also tell my friends. So glad I took a chance on this when I saw it on a social media ad!

Wonderful product! Tasted way more like regular sea salt than I expected! I use it instead of table salt when my food is under seasoned. I also love it on popcorn with a little white truffle oil The bag was much bigger than I expected! I will be buying again.
Green Salt is my new kitchen staple. I originally purchased to use as a salt "substitute" but it really is in a class by itself. G.S. enhances the flavor of any savory dish. I haven't yet used it in deserts and baked goods - that's coming next!

I am an avid home cook and love to experiment with different salts so naturally I was intrigued with Green Salt when I read about it in a cooking blog. We have a family home in Baja California Sur and love and appreciate the wonderful artisan foods and wine that are available in the Baja! The green salt has a fresh, pure, yet imperceptible oceany flavor. It's a nice change and I love the story of it. It's as salty as most salts and I appreciate the "less sodium" fact/health benefit about it. It's delicious in bone broth to sip, adding an ever so slight sea foam flavor. Very subtle and intriguing. I'll sprinkle it on deviled eggs topped with chives and watch as my guests devour the platter full and ask me "what's in these"? Fun! A hidden secret! Next will be a grilled piece of fish with a cilantro, lime, green salt butter to melt on top. Yum! Thank you!!
I love this! Bought it for my fella who can’t have salt. We tried it on eggs, salads, and general cooking. It was a big hit! We loved the Unami taste when sprinkled directly on food. I am still working it into baking, etc. Bottom line, this product is delicious and does not have the weird aftertaste of salt substitutes.

I added only green salt to my ground turkey vegetable soup and it delicious.
I have a salt-sensitive spouse, so I was excited to learn about Green Salt and give it a try. It definitely has a seaweedy flavor if used as a sprinkle, so it's a fabulous salt substitute for anything involving seafood, but it's also great for salting water (most recipes call for salting water for pasta or blanching veggies) and things like salad dressing where the flavor isn't strong enough to dominate. Haven't tried it in baking yet, and am intrigued to see if the umami flavor disappears as advertised. If it does, this product is a home run!

We are brand new to this product, and have used it twice in dishes for meals for 8-10 people. Read the information on amounts to use on the package - important, b/c its salinity per volume is not the same as table sale/sea salt. Very delicious dishes resulted! Enhances dishes as salt does, and imparts a slight umami tone as well. We like it!!

I was surprised how much it tasted like salt. My husband has congestive heart failure, so he has to watch his salt intake. I appreciate this product because the other salt substitutes are disgusting. It will take us awhile to get use to eating food that turns green.
I try not to use salt because of blood pressure issues. The green salt is lower in sodium and I can use this to enhance the flavor of vegetables that I enjoy every day with a lesser sodium impact. It certainly brings out the flavors of green vegetables that I love..broccoli, green beans, and spinach. Don't want to slight other veggies like mashed potatoes with gravy and cauliflower. My mouth is watering and it's 6 am in the morning when a cup of coffee is had without eating veggies.
Need to rework packaging big time. Way to difficult to shake out. How could you not have known or anticipated this. Retail way too high.

I mostly eat low-sodium diet but was looking for a good substitute for salt. I love the Green Salt.. you can’t use too much of it and I find that it actually really enhances the taste of food instead of making it salty.

I love the flavor, but as a fan of coarse salt that I can feel on my tongue, I'm not crazy about the ultra-powdery texture. I do really like the taste though.

I like the green salt, but I am still learning how to use it to best effect. It has a slight herbal aftertaste, and I find that I need to use more of it than I would have used of salt in order to get a salty taste. Still, I am pleased with the product and am happy to have this option as a replacement for true salt.
TRULY tastes like salt! It has a very slight seaweed essence, but it’s not noticeable in food. More so, this adds to the flavor!!! This is a new staple in my pantry - THANK YOU!

Just started using Green Salt so can’t give full review. However, the taste is salty and reflects more of a dried seaweed flavor. That’s good for me but some may not like it. Love the concept and hope your efforts are successful. Look forward to using the product in my cooking.
I'm amazed at the umami Green Salt adds to my food. It now has its own "salt cellar." I live in the Southwest where the humidity is much less, so I've not had any issues keeping it in an open container. I like to pinch as needed. I don't notice any flavor on foods I use it on other than "great." I was over using the product the first couple of days and realized soon that I could use less. I'm excited I have not used salt since this arrived. I love hot veggies and Green Salt is phenomenal on any vegetable you might roast, steam or sauté. And the fact a sustainable crop is being developed for a healthful purpose is awesome. The value proposition for me is easy. Less salt + More Green Salt = Better Me and Planet.

Green salt is delicious! I'm thrilled that it's lower sodium and completely natural. I put a container of it on the kitchen table to use in place of regular salt; it goes well with virtually everything, surprisingly! The fact that it's green is an added aesthetic benefit, as it has the same effect as putting on a pretty parsley/herb garnish.
