First time trying, we love sea asparagus we buy it and put it in salads/poke all the time so this dried version was interesting. Texture is like dried herbs but when mixed in sauces and marinades and you barely taste the texture at all. For some reason I expected it to be like salt grains. I just use it as if I'm using regular salt. I've used in stir fry, meat marinades, salad dressings - it doesn't alter taste of food (in a good way).

So far, I am loving Green salt. I haven’t tried baking with it, but I am using in and on everything and when I use this, I don’t miss using regular salt. On the most part we love how food turns out with 'Green Salt'. The only problem with it that we have found, which I am not sure if there could be a solution, is that the saltiness disappears if it's cooked in wet slow cooked food, although we rarely slow cook anyway.

At first I found it hard to get past the color then I was unsure as to the amount to use. I am finding I am tempted to use too much. Trying to back down on the amount now. It would have been helpful if you could have suggested serving amounts and should I put it in shaker or serve by teaspoon. It does taste like salt which I love. My salads are just as excellent as before when using table salt. I will use green salt from now on. Thank you

It's nice to have found a product that can add saltiness to food with much less sodium than regular salt. It also adds some umami flavor which is mild but still noticeable. It pours like a very fine powder, and I find I need to make several passes with the shaker to create that flavor layer of saltiness. My husband likes it much better than other salt alternatives we have tried. Since we both have heart issues, being sodium-conscious without having to give up the flavor-enhancing qualities of "salt" is a great benefit for us both!

This stuff is great for someone who needs to lower their sodium intake. It tastes good and is easy to use. My one suggestion is that when introducing it to someone new, that it be suggested as another "herb" that is salty. That way the expectation is that it a) has taste and b) that the taste is savory, or even umami, if the person knows that concept, but is not sweet.

The product is as good as ever. However, I was disappointed to find out that the 3 bags I recently received were smaller than the 1st bag I ordered. The 1st bag was 8.8 oz. So when I reordered, I thought I would be getting 3 more bags the same size. However, I was disappointed to find that the 3 new bags were 7.05 oz each.

I’m still experimenting. I don’t get a salty taste from it—I don’t get any taste, which I guess is good—but the food seems to be seasoned correctly. So I guess it’s more subtle than salt. It’s very finely ground, which surprisingly means I have to really work to get it on the food. I’m going to try it in recipes and I can track the amount I use. Do you have any suggestions on how much to use? E.g. is a teaspoon of green equal in saltiness to a tsp of table salt?

Green Salt is yummy! It has a nice soft subtle salt taste that is accompanied by an herbaceous, vegetal flavor that I really enjoy. It really compliments fried eggs and French omelets. I needed to boost the quantity used in soups to get the full flavor but it was delicious.
