Salicornia (zeekraal in Dutch) has been a delicacy I’ve eaten since childhood. It is wonderful to be eating it now as a healthy salt alternative.
I've used it in just about everything and it's wonderful. I haven't stopped using my Celtics gray salt in a few things but I am slowly putting the green salt in anything I use salt in.it
Using it in place of table salt. It’s great!
My first homegrown eggplant sprinkled with green salt and smoked paprika. So delicious!!
I put that on every thing awesome taste
Please refer to my email to Chris dated July 12.
Good stuff, it is indeed salty (though not nearly as much as the real thing). Taste is good, although it does have a somewhat green/grassy smell, and I'm unsure if I want everything I eat to have a green tinge, but other than that, I like it.
Has a great salty taste. It's extremely fine so find a salt shaker and fill with half with uncooked rice and the other half with green salt.
Love this! The earthy nearly green tea like flavor to it supports the flavor of any food! Tried it on salmon, burgers, steak veggies, salads…and having blood pressure problems the low sodium content helps!
Love the taste and all the extra vitamin and mineral benefits from this salt!
Really like the flavor/level of saltiness, BUT the fine texture is a little odd. Would prefer larger granules, makes it easier to use.
I put it on popcorn it was great, knowing it wasn't even salt was even better!!
I have a salt issue. I love it. My heart does not. But this is a wonderful solution. It’s tasty! I have put it on corn, scallops, in a turkey burger and have no need for more. I would say that it is not good for boiling. It doesn’t break down like salt, it just floats. Put it on after the boil. You’re just wasting it otherwise.
Had swelling in my legs with high blood pressure. Missed my salt that I had to cut way back on. Got my Green Salt last week and although I can't saturate my food I can at least have a touch of salt flavor. Even my family acknowledged that it was a big improvement over other salt substitutes
Green Salt is the most viable salt substitute that I have come across; it tastes good without the aftertaste that some substitutes have. That being said, I notice that I have to use far more of it to achieve the same level of saltiness provided by regular salt. Also, it doesn’t dissolve and defuse into the food; it seasons only the surface. Good stuff, though! I’ll buy more.
It has a mild savory flavor, adding interest to food. Satisfied my husband's craving for salt with must a scant 1/4 teaspoon.
Very unique product tastes great on pretty much anything...not really a complaint, but it's a little too powdery for certain applications. I'm not sure if it's possible to make it more granular?
Its really good! Still trying to find a way to describe the flavor. It has a richness and depth about it, more than just salt. Taste like there is a lot more seasoning than just the green salt. Its really good.
I put in on everything... it tastes great!
I have only used it once so far need to use it more for an honest opinion
I really like the flavor of the green salt. I used it my guacamole and roasted eggplant spread.
It's good enough for a daily-usage salt. It has a grassy taste rather than the seaweedish umami flavor I was seeking. It won't go to waste though! Service was excellent.
Taste is great it doesn't dissolve well but take and sodium content great Will buy again!!!
Has a great matcha flavor and lends itself well to vegetables and fish dishes. I also used it to season some Japanese stir fry. Great stuff, you won’t be disappointed.
It’s a good product. Nice flavor. I just have one negative. I didn’t know it’s more of a powder than salt. It makes a mess & u can’t control how much u use. Other than that, I like it
I ordered Green Salt because I knew I had to cut down on my salt intake. I salt everything. Green Salt sounded like a solution to my salt habit. I'm not disappointed. There is a slight aftertaste, but nothing lasting or overbearing. It does the job though. I get a salt taste and that's the goal. If you have to restrict your salt intake, I would recommend Green Salt.
Tastes salty! I like the color. I can see how much I am shaking on my food.
Very pleased with this “salt” ! I even used it in a cookie recipe for depth of flavor and a little umami ; they were delicious! Looking forward to discovering other ways this product will compliment other flavors.
I love it but only drawback is the color would show on some of my recipes so I don’t use them for some I’m happy it’s much healthier
It’s delicious! Smells like plants tastes like salt!
It's very good!
Hmmmm. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was surprised just the same! It’s is powdery and green! Maybe I just pay attention to all the details, but it is green powder! However, it is very salt flavored with a hint of sea flavor. I’ve used it on raw veggies and broths, so far. It’s good! I love the less sodium factor!
I want to try everything alternative to the normal food offerings so when the opportunity to try an alternative salt product that had 50% less sodium and came from farm raised, saltwater nourished plants I could not resist. Green salt, more like salt powder, has that great Umami taste we all crave. I have recently roasted corn with a blend of vegan butter and green salt and I will do it again this weekend! It is that good. I am looking for the perfect shaker as it is a powder and not even as course as regular table salt. The true beauty of Green Salt comes from the 50% less sodium and you realize that right away in the taste were you find subtle notes that don’t ruin everything at the slightest mistake. So give it a try, there is nothing I would not use it on. Lastly, it is green so you can’t getaway from that but at the same time you’ll want to see it on your food!! Mike popcorn! At the very least
Tasty with a slight bit of umami. It doesn't taste green, just fresh like the ocean.
This has been the best find!! Will never go without it for ll My cooking needs!! My husband needs low sodium and I need magnesium!! It’s a win win for continuing our healthy life style!!! Thank you for this AMAZING!! Product
My family really loves this stuff. It tastes good, and you feel good about putting positive things in while lowering salt intake. We have pretty much replaced our usual salt - which wasn’t a lot - with this. It is excellent on vegetables and boiled eggs. Thanks for a great product!
Perfect for stir-fry or guacamole!
it's a pleasant surprise
Enjoying the flavor and that it is salt healthy
So glad I found this alternative salt. Even healthier than the sea salts I was using.
It exceeded expectations! Flavor is really good. It has been easy to sun green salt for other types of salt in cooking.
I like this very much. I normally do salt my food but I have found this allows me to flavor what I am cooking without feeling guilty. My husband has found that he likes it too. I also gave some to a friend that is vegan and appreciated adding it to her spice rack as well.
I love it! Not only is their less sodium but it has a very nice Umami flavor and I’m all about flavor!!! Yum!!! Chef Popi aka ‘Popi’s Ultimate Gourmet’
Though the photo does not show The Green Salt itself it does help renew the body, restore the mind:-)A a plant-based chef, trust me, Green Salt not only brings out that full, bold flavor that you seek but, it's also full of vital minerals that our bodies need to thrive at Optimum everyday! I will definitely continue to use green salt as my alternative! Thank you:-)
The green salt is very good on popcorn! Will be trying it in/on many other foods.
I love Green Salt! It is delicious. I can now eat popcorn and enjoy it without worrying about my blood pressure. (It's especially good when paired with nutritional yeast!) I also use it on vegetables, and no matter how much I use, my blood pressure never rises. I'm sold!
It’s tasty and helps me cut back on my salt intake. Due to the fine quality of the green salt it might be nice to ship it in a shaker container if possible. Overall it’s a fine product!
I added it on my fish, baked cod with lemon pepper and old bay and it was delish
It's very tasty. I would give it all the stars except for two things. 1. It is expensive. But, how can it not be? To grow, dehydrate and powder a vegetable and do it all organically - that's costs. It's a fair price. But 2. because it's precious it's difficult to know how best to dispense it, it's just loose in a bag, not sure how best to conservatively sprinkle the product on my food. I do enjoy the salty flavor with half the sodium and recommend it.
Looks a bit weird on my sweet corn, but it tastes good.
This has made me feel way better about salting my food, and I feel great supporting this form of agriculture. Is it exactly like salt? No. It’s more powdery, not the same texture, but I don’t find that a problem. And there is definitely a slight seaweed kind of flavor, but that’s a plus for me. So, thumbs up!
I bought this to help me decrease my salt intake. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste! It definitely has a salty flavor in a pretty green color! Looks a little odd on corn, but taste good! I went ahead and bought a salt shaker for it and keep it on the counter. Haven’t tried using it in cooking yet but I’m going to try it out! It is very light and powdery, so instead of salt granules you have green salt powder. Not a big deal at all! Love it!
Love the product. However there was a hole in the bag and I lost part of the bag.
It's very nice and tasty!
This a great salt substitute; as I use it on the same things that I previously used salt, I find that I am using less and less so this is an easy way to cut back on salt. It also can add a very subtle vegetal flavor which is delicious.
I love salt on almost everything and finding a healthy alternative that tastes great is wonderful. Thank you.
I bought this for my mom who is trying to keep her blood pressure down. She has been going without salt and has been missing the flavor it brings out. She is really liking this product. Thank you!
Green Salt is delicious in addition to all the other benefits. A bit expensive but well worth.
Great flavor. Glad to have it for cooking and finishing dishes.
Marinating fresh tomatoes, garlic, green salt, basil in olive oil. Making Ina Garten’s Summer Pasta! The Umami taste from the green salt is phenomenal!
Delicious flavor. Came on time.
I have been looking for a healthy alternative salt product and I like this one although the taste is certainly a little different I find it is something that adds a little interest to my foo
I enjoy the product, its good to get a natural alternative to salt and this does the trick!
So far, I'm really like this salt. I was afraid before getting it that it might just taste like powdered kelp or something -- like a rather fishy taste. But it doesn't taste like that at all! The combination of minerals in this salt contribute to an overall satisfyingly salty and umami flavor without so much total sodium. I'm happy with this product, and look forward to exploring using it in more recipes to come. Thank you!
Used in a couple of dishes. Not bitter or too salty. Little expensive for salt but give it a try.
This is an AMAZING product! Trying to cut way down on sodium and this offers some real satisfaction! Thank you
Love the taste, put it on food that needs salt its great
I was a bit sceptic to buy this new salt product. We were pleasantly surprised. It gives a flavorful taste especially in our vegan dishes. I am glad we took the chance and tried it, Happy Customer.
I love the taste. It is quite salty with the slightest hint of asparagus! However it is a very fine powder and a little difficult to dispense it lightly and evenly!
Tasty! Loved it on broccoli. adds a flavor I can't quite describe, but it's good
Dr. Richard G.
I love the fullness of flavor and knowing that there is significantly less sodium.
Really taste great and it’s good on everything I put it on. Not bitter at all.
Great product love the tastes will order again
satisfies the need for too much salt. thank you so much
Right next to my stove with my other "go to" spices! Love this stuff!!!
Very seaweed-y tasting on its own. Fine on eggs. And in a cabbage soup I made. Not sure I'd use it on everything or in a sweet recipe.
It's wierd!!!! I'm going to use it on my parsley potatoes this evening. I think it'll add a nice touch.
Even with taking nitric oxide supplements, I still wanted to do something more to help lower my blood pressure naturally. when I saw the ad for Green Salt, I had to give it a try. Overall I'm very impressed. If you really concentrate, you can get a slight seaweed note, but in most dishes you can't tell at all. For me it works best on carbohydrates (brown rice, potatoes, etc.). I don't get quite as big a salt flavor in soups or stews with a lot of proteins in them, but the Green Salt does seem to enhance the other flavors. Overall, glad I purchased it and will be reordering when I run low!
It has a really great flavor.

Green Salt is an excellent alternative to salts. It's easy to use and delivers the flavor without the worries of extremely high sodium. Very happy to have found Green Salt.
On low salt diet. Saw Green Salt advertisement on FB. It's not salt but does add some salt flavor along with others that boosts the enjoyment of my food. I'm a fan
Great salt substitute! Love it! It taste so yummy on vegetables! Really changed my grilled salmon game! Would highly recommend.
I love everything about this salt. The texture has a nice grain to it, the flavor is indeed salty with an umami flair, and it looks lovely sprinkled on my plates to finish. My guests love using it out of their own pinch bowls. What a perfect to my collection of fine salts. Very happy with my purchase and I'll definitely be getting more.
I love this salt. I already like this product fresh but it’s so salty. This salt isn’t like that and it’s a tinted greenish color and adds an interesting depth to my foods. Right now stuck on it with popcorn!
I was intrigued, so I purchased some Green Salt. I love various salts, and Green Salt interested me as a "non" salt way to get a boost in flavor. I am vary happy with what I received. I promised to share some with my trainer! I love that Green Salt provides a boost without actually being salt! And there is an extra quality that I cannot describe that is a plus too!
I like it very much.it is salty. I use it at the table to salt my food because of its natural green color. Great salt substitute.
This gives a wonderful taste to every food, sort of like MSG would, but in a totally natural way! My teenage kid loves using it when he cooks as it really enhances everything. It also helps reduce sodium intake, which is a good idea as the inversion of potassium & sodium in the cells promotes cancers, and also salt secretes digestive juices and makes you more hungry... Sea asparagus was only served in fancy fish restaurants as I was growing up in France, I feel so privileged to have access to this healthy delicacy every day in a dried form. Super grateful for this product.
This is delicious, and it adds some depth to the flavor of foods as well as saltiness. I've served it so far on salad, cooked vegetables, soup, and roasted potatoes. I'm so glad this exists!
Delicious and beautiful when lightly sprinkled on food! Thanks for a wonderful alternative to higher sodium salts!
Good tasting product
Great substitute for salt
The taste is great. Helps lower salt intake easily.
Has great taste. Surprised how fine ground it is.
We are really enjoying our Green Salt! My husband is recovering on heart surgery and Green Salt is part of our efforts to reduce salt intake.
I love it! I can get a hint of salt taste or a strong salt taste, depending on what I'm making, without the worry of how much sodium in eating. This is fabulous idea and I WILL be buying more.
I am on a low sodium diet my choice, and this is a game changer. So many packaged foods are high in sodium, so I opt to purchase low sodium options when I can. Sometimes the low sodium options are bland and this green salt just adds so much flavor without the health risks. Thank you!
